Mechanical and Electrical Designer
BCT Structures is currently seeking a creative and results-orientated Mechanical and Electrical Designer with experience in the modular structures industry. This person will have the opportunity to develop creative solutions and work on complex projects in a fast passed team environment.
The basic functions of the Mechanical and Electrical Designer include:

Develop and prepare production drawings and specifications for plumbing, HVAC and electrical portion of modular structures from specifications and other information supplied by customer and sales information

Operate computer-assisted design (CAD)
A successful candidate will have:
-
Diploma in a Mechanical Engineering Technology program or other closely related field.

2 or more years of design experience in the modular manufacturing industry

Excellent computer skills including a high proficiency in AutoCAD (2006 or more current version) and MS Office

Certification or eligibility for registration through ASET is an asset

Extensive experience and knowledge of plumbing, gas fitting and electrical code requirements.

Extensive experience in designing plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems for commercial or industrial projects.
