Estimators
BCT Structures is currently seeking a creative and results-orientated Estimator with experience in the modular structures industry. This person will be an integral team member in the bidding and construction process.
The basic functions of the Estimator include:
- Provide bills of material to purchasing using prepared drawings and specifications.
- Possesses and maintains a good working knowledge of applicable building codes and their interpretation.
- Provide accurate job costing of all sales estimates and factory projects.
- Provide accurate data feedback.
- Maintain an excellent level of skill with Timberline, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Ensure all pricing is accurate and current
- Prepare estimate to respond to all RFQ’s from Sales Department
- Coordinate and ensure the total response package is provided to the Contracts/Sales Administrator including all specifications, drawings, renderings and support documentation on schedule to meet submission deadlines
- To provide timely spreadsheets of the total bid for management review and approval 1-2 days prior to submission date
- Ensure copies of all approved spreadsheets, specification drawings and bid response are kept in the estimating file
A successful candidate will have:
- Certified Engineering Technologist designation or equivalent
- 2 or more years of estimating experience in the modular manufacturing industry
- Prior experience with Estimating software and AutoCAD (2006 or more current version) and MS Office
- Experience in estimating material and labour for all aspects of modular structures including electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
