Management
will continue to set examples and provide leadership
in the health and safety program by setting health and
safety policies and work procedures, supported by proper
equipment and training. Employees
are responsible for following procedures, working
with an awareness of health and safety and cooperating
in working towards improved health and safety conditions
at work.
Our safety training program is used to provide
a comprehensive training environment to fulfill our HSE
objectives and achieve overall operational excellence.
Our blended approach to learning allows us to use:
- Innovative technology and processes to prevent adverse impact from company operations on employee and public health and the environment.
- In house face-to-face training is developed to introduce our procedures and prepare our workers for their hands-on training.
- On-the-job, hands-on training is used to build the job skills necessary to work safely and achieve overall operational excellence.
- Extensive orientation is used to certify the competence of our workers by observing and verifying skills. All of the employee training and sign-offs are tracked as part of the overall program training package for our employees.
- Consistent reinforcement of our safety culture is used to ensure safety is top-of-mind for all employees, all the time.
- Periodic independent audits serve to assure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in all of our operations.
